camp koyquin: part 1
CaMp!! There is so much to share, but not enough time at present. Life is still a little too busy to share about the amazing week at camp that the Lord provided for us, but once life settles down a little I will share as many of my pictures as I can. I will have choose from over 600 pictures that I took that week, but for now, I will share one of my favorite moments:

love in its purest form
dear Papa,
I love you, you are my rock. thank you for always being there for me, whether it was my terrible 2's, the first time you dropped me off at Kindergarten, or the time you taught me how to drive! you have been there through it all and love you more than words can say.
love from, you favorite youngest daughter
"any man can be a father. it takes someone special to be a dad." ~author unknown
"certain is it that there is no kind of affection so purely angelic as of a father to a daughter. in love to our wives there is desire; to our sons, ambition; but to our daughters there is something which there are no words to express." ~joseph addison
"he didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it. ~clarence kelland
"a father carries pictures where his money used to be." ~author unknown

down the river
Monday morning was filled with an adventure down the Chippewa River with Carly. we started off the trip not thinking to straight, I seam to recall someone saying "oh we won't get too wet, I'll just wear a tank top and shorts" {and no swimsuit}. yeah, in the end we were totally soaked from our sun burnt faces to our wet wet toes. it was a nice way to soak up the sun, even though we may not have started off the morning with the best ideas. maybe that was a result of the sugar hangover {meaning ice cream and kettle corn}.

a lil' summer shoppin'
There is something about doing a little summer shopping that puts you in a better mood. Due to American Eagle's great deals, the store had it's shoppers spending way more time that we had anticipated in it's doors. With deals like {buy one top, get the 2nd half off} or {buy one pair of shorts and get the second pair half off} we couldn't refuse!
These are just a few snapshots of the tops I picked out. I wanted to share a picture of another quarter sleeve sweater that I purchased, but the golden yellow color that I got wasn't on the website, and it didn't do it justice in any other color!

road trip
tuesday brought on the last {though we didn't know it at the time} boys varsity game of the season. Noelle and I road tripped it out the the game in the rainy conditions. even with the gray sky's and dreary weather, our boys played through it all for their final game. i didn't want to risk getting my camera wet, so it stayed under the shelter of Noelle's car. even though they lost, the boys put up a good fight against a very young but talented team.

flower pots
Friday and saturday consisted of my mom and I potted these little beauties {and many more} into their new homes.
We found new homes for the impatiens {both star cherry & dazzler cranberry}, tuscan sun flowers, sapphire, pansies, midnight lace, coleus, vincas, and melting fire. Aren't some of those fabulous names. With some water and sunshine they will thrive in the beautiful weather that the Lord has been providing for us!!
This pot {above} consists of cilantro, basil, parsley, and garlic chives. I can add these herbs to a variety of salads, soups, salsas and other dishes.
This pot {above} has chocolate mint. Doesn't that sound exciting to try! I can't wait!
